My experience at Oglethorpe University has been nothing short of a remarkable journey, filled with enriching experiences and constant support. The small class sizes have been beneficial, creating an environment of personalized attention from dedicated professors and developing a strong relationship with my peers. I made many amazing new friends during my freshmen year. This close-kit community gives me a sense of belonging, and campus life is brimming with different activities to get involved in. Oglethorpe could enhance its standing in many areas. Making an effort to promote diversity and inclusion may enrich our community's tapestry, transforming it into an authentic aspect of Goble society. Modernizing facilities and expanding course can help meet a wider range of interests and requirements, expanding our academic potential. Furthermore, having a career service department can better prepare students for their careers, ensuring that they are not just educated but also career ready.

The experience there helps you learn about navigating and being around diversity. You will constantly meet people from different background. I like that the classes are small so you aren’t competing for the professors attention. Most of the professors are willing to work with you and understand that the students are human. Also there’s plenty events that are catered to social, academics, and career wise. It’s so many opportunities to be involved.
However, if I could change a few things I would. The campus living isn’t the best. It’s quite a few buildings that could be upgraded considering the cost but that happens at most colleges. The funding for the school activities could also be more too but they work well with what they have.

My experience with Oglethorpe has entailed me having good connections with teachers that make it feel as though they want me to succeed. It is a smaller campus so there are less distractions and more opportunities to focus on school and your future. The stem building has been my second dorm room in the way I can spend hours on hours utilizing the many resources OU offers for me to succeed. Whether it be teacher/student led office hours, independent study, or just plain class. In terms of my actual dorm, I’m very pleased as well, I share a dorm with 3 others but each of us have our own rooms within the suite, it’s nice to have a space to myself, which is why I enjoy the layout so much. Oglethorpe has also been very generous in terms of financial aid, as I have received multiple scholarships from the school as well as having been invited a few events held before my enrollment. It has also brought me in contact with many friends which I’m grateful for.
