  Marte was removed from Saturday's game with right knee soreness, an issue that's lingered throughout June. The Mets will give Marte a day to rest before undergoing imaging on Monday's team day off to see if there's any structural damage.

  Marte left after the first inning of Friday's game and was replaced by Tyrone Taylor in center field. It's the same knee that has been sore for Marte over the last few weeks, and the Mets should provide some clarity on the severity of the injury following Saturday's game.

Assuming all goes well, the 31-year-old righty will likely throw another few live sessions before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment with one of the Mets' minor-league affiliates.

  Iglesias was active early, singling and scoring a run in the second inning, hitting an RBI single in the third and adding a two-run single in the fourth. Iglesias has gone an impressive 14-for-32 with six RBI and five runs scored in his return to the majors while primarily starting at second base against left-handed pitchers.

  Alvarez opened the second inning with a 420-foot home run off Shota Imanaga then walked in the fourth and ninth frames.   Nimmo was active early, walking and scoring a run in the first inning and hitting a home run in the second. He then singled and scored again in the fourth frame. Since moving to second in the lineup June 13, Nimmo has five multi-hit games, three home runs, 10 RBI and 12 runs scored. On the season, he is now slashing .244/.359/.424 with 10 homers, 42 RBI and 45 runs scored through 309 plate appearances.

  Martinez opened the scoring with a three-run home run off Shota Imanaga in the first inning, and he then added an RBI single in the fourth. Martinez went 1-for-10 in a quiet series against the Rangers earlier this week but continued a nice June, as he's now hitting .297 with four home runs and 17 RBI in 64 at-bats. On the season, he owns a .287 average with nine homers and 31 RBI in 178 at-bats.

  Quintana (3-5) earned the win against the Cubs on Friday, allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over 6.1 innings.

  Quintana allowed an unearned run in the first inning but cruised from there with plenty of run support, as the Mets scored 11 runs in the first four frames. The southpaw surpassed the season-high six strikeouts he recorded June 15 in his last outing, and he registered his second consecutive victory and quality start. On the season, Quintana owns a 4.58 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 58:26 K:BB over 78.2 innings and lines up to face the Astros next week.

  Ellis got a cup of coffee with the White Sox this season and has slashed just .258/.341/.308 at the Double-A level, which is especially underwhelming when you consider his age (26). He's fast and can play defense, though, which was enough to pique the Mets' interest.
