Financial Aid Portal - SUNY Westchester Community College (1)The Financial Aid Portal will provide information on all types of aid you qualify based on the FAFSA, as well as any NYS Aid and Campus-based Aid such as Scholarships.

The Financial Aid Portal contains information for the 2023/2024 aid year and beyond. All prior aid year information can still be accessed in the Student Self Service Center.

Navigating the Financial Aid Portal:

  1. Log into to mywcc.sunywcc.edu
  2. Select the Financial Aid Portal tile
    First time users will be prompted to review and accept an Electronic Consent which will indicate your willingness to interact with the Office of Student Financial Assistance on a digital platform. Note: If you choose not to perform tasks electronically, contact the Student Financial Assistance office directly.
  3. Carefully review all Pending items in red on the HOME page.
  4. Review any red numbered notification badges in the navigation header.

Instructions on how to review your scholarship award notification document.

  • Log into MyWCC and select the Finacial Aid Portal tile.
  • On the Financial Aid Portal, click on Documents

2. On the Upload Documents screen, click on Download under the Scholarship Award Instruction Sheet section.

  • Review the downloaded Scholarship Award Instruction Sheet carefully as it includes important information about your scholarship.

3. Write your Thank You letter as instructed and save it as a PDF file.

Once you are ready to upload your letter, click on “choose a file” – you will have the chance to upload a second attachment by selecting, “Add Additional Pages” as instructed this should be a photo of yourself to accompany the thank you letter. A preview of your submission will appear before you select to upload. Select the Upload button to complete the process.

This concludes the required step to accept your scholarship award. Once you submit the Thank You letter, the scholarship award will be approved and applied to your tuition and fees student account.

The disbursem*nt of the scholarship is contingent upon maintaining eligibility which may include enrollment status, financial need, academic program and satisfactory progress.

How to grant access for Parent/Guest:

  1. Log into the Financial Aid Portal
  2. At the far top right, select the downward triangle next to the circle image. Click Profile

  • Under the section ‘Manage Proxy Access click Sign FERPA Form & Provide Consent and complete actions at the bottom of the page.

  • Add a Parent/Guest by clicking the Person+ button

  • Enter the Parent/Guest’s email address. Note: Use all lowercase letters in the email address because it is case sensitive. Also be aware that the same email address cannot be used for multiple students attending WCC, so if a parent has more than one student attending a separate email address must be used.

  • Select the Guest Role of ‘Default Proxy’
  • Verify the status is GREEN and says ENABLED
  • Click on the Save Icon under Edit. This will send an email to the person with a link for access. They will need to click the link to proceed. Reference to this process: WCC SFP-How to Grant Proxy Access.pdf (add graphic to web)
  • Next steps Parent/Guest access: They will need to accept the Consent to Conduct Business Electronically and will be able to access the Financial Aid Portal on your behalf to perform any tasks needed.

Uploading documents

For Uploading Your Documents (click to open) and review the process

  1. Log in to Financial Aid Portal at MyWCC (https://mywcc.sunywcc.edu/)
  2. Click on the DOCUMENTS link in the header.
  3. Select the upload icon to the right of each listed item.
  4. Click Choose a File at the top right and select your document.
  5. Review and complete all fillable fields associated with the document.
  6. Click on the icon located under the Upload header at the top to submit the document.

Review/Accept Your Financial Aid Awards

Step 1: Review/Accept Your Financial Aid Awards

Carefully review your offer of financial aid and accept or decline the awards online by logging in to your MyWCC and clicking on the Financial Aid Portal tile.

  • Navigate to https://mywcc.sunywcc.edu/ and click Financial Aid Portal tile.
  • Select Home in the navigation bar at the top.
  • Click on Review/Accept Awards.
  • Follow all steps to review and accept or decline your financial aid awards.

Review/Accept Your Financial Aid Awards by July 15.

Step 2: Act on Your Federal Direct Loans

Federal Direct Loan information is available here.

If you accepted Federal Direct Loan(s), navigate to your Financial Aid Portal home page.

  • Under Receive Your Funds, click on both Complete Subsidized/Unsubsidized Entrance Counseling and Sign your Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized MPN.
  • You will be directed to complete both studentaid.gov. You will log in using your FSA ID from the FAFSA.

Act on your Federal Direct Loans by July 15.

2023-2024 Verification Instructions

  1. Log into MyWCC (https://mywcc.sunywcc.edu/)
  2. Click on the Financial Aid Portal tile.
  3. Review any red numbered notification badges in the navigation header.
  4. Also, click on the HOME link in the header and carefully review all Pending items in red.

For the Verification Worksheet Dependent, the student and a parent on the FAFSA are required to electronically sign the worksheet.

Grant Guest/Proxy (Parent) Access

Note: Use all lowercase letters in the email address because it is case sensitive. Also be aware that the same email address cannot be used for multiple students attending WCC, so if a parent has more than one student attending a separate email address must be used.

  1. Click on the small triangle to the far top right in the header.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Under Manage Proxy Access, click on the person + image.
  4. Enter your parent’s email. Please note: It is case sensitive, so we recommend using all lower-case letters.
  5. Click on the save icon to the right.

  1. Navigate to Student Portal: Login Page (oraclecloud.com)
  2. The screen will say Welcome to the Student Portal Login
  3. The Username will be the parent/guardian email used from the Granting Guest/Proxy Access process; password set-up instructions are sent to parent/guest directly.

*Independent students who do not report parent information on the FAFSA may skip this step.

Dependent student Verification Worksheet

  1. Click on the DOCUMENTS link in the header.
  2. Select the upload icon to the right of the Verification Worksheet.
  3. Review and complete all fillable fields and answer all questions.
  4. Be sure to add a row for each person in your household. This includes parents and siblings. The number of rows should match the number in the household populated on the Verification Worksheet from the FAFSA.
  5. Student considering Westchester Community College must list Westchester Community College as college (even if undecided)
  6. Enter the Student ID and Student Last Name/Parent Last Name at the bottom of the form.
  7. Click I Accept.
  8. Select Sign & Finish.

Since a signature is required for both the student and parent, the opposite party not completing the form will also have to log in to Sign & Finish the worksheet before successfully submitting.

  1. Click on the DOCUMENTS link in the header.
  2. Select the upload icon to the right of the Verification Worksheet.
  3. Review and complete all fillable fields and answer all questions.Be sure to add a row for each person in your household. The number of rows should match the number in the household populated on the Verification Worksheet from the FAFSA.Student considering Westchester Community College must list Westchester Community College as college (even if undecided)
  4. Enter the Student ID and Student Last Name at the bottom of the form.
  5. Click I Accept.
  6. Select Sign & Finish.

Upload Documents

If you have documents that need to be uploaded (such as tax forms), please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the DOCUMENTS link in the header.
  2. Select the upload icon to the right of each listed item.
  3. Click Choose a File at the top right and select your document.
  4. Review and complete any fillable fields.
  5. Click on the icon located under the Upload header at the top.
  6. Tax returns must be signed and dated in ink before uploading.

Successfully uploaded documents will show in the Document History under DOCUMENTS as Received. The status will change to Acceptable once approved or Unacceptable if rejected and did not meet the document requirements.

Check back regularly to monitor your progress!

Students will need to check the navigation bar in the Financial Aid Portal for any additional requests, if needed. Upon receipt of all the required documents, review will begin. Once the verification has been completed the Office of Student Financial Assistance will send you a Financial Aid Notification. In addition, you can monitor the status of your financial aid by logging into MyWCC (https://mywcc.sunywcc.edu/) and click Financial Aid Portal.
