George Kittle joined The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz on Tuesday and after answering some rapid-fire questions, including about his favorite type of fondue and about weddings, Dan Le Batard hit him with a tough one:

Does Kittle look at anyone in the game and think they play tight end better than him?

“Oooh, that’s a great question.”

Kittle thinks when you watch all the film and look around the league, it’s hard to compare tight ends because all of their offenses are so different and what they’re asked to do is so different. To that end, George says if you took him and put him in the Ravens offense while at the same time taking Mark Andrews and put him in the 49ers offense, he isn’t so sure they would be the same players. He says the game’s top tight ends are really built for the offenses they’re in, so it’s hard to compare the top names in the game.

Kittle says the things that Travis Kelce does, you couldn’t just put any tight end into the Chiefs’ offense and expect the same result. Just like Kittle says he doesn’t think you could just take another tight end and plug them into his role with the 49ers. So really, it’s hard to compare and contrast the game’s top tight ends. Kittle says he thinks the group all plays the game at really high level and he thinks that appreciated the high level of play the tight end position is at is the best thing we can do.
