First, up, what exactly do I mean when I use the word “doodle”?

What Is a Doodle?

Doodlesare, quite simply, “easy drawings that can have concrete representational meaning, or may just be composed of random and abstract lines.”

In short, this means that a doodle is basically any simple drawing! They are perfect for cards, gift wrap and they are a great idea for bullet journaling!

I shared all about how to draw a banner a couple of weeks back, and they’re a great example of a doodle!

Which means that absolutely no artistic skills are required, making them perfect for everybody.

Benefits of Doodling

Doodling, like I mentioned above, is a great form of self care.

It’s easy, portable, and doesn’t require many supplies.

Best of all, doodling can be a form of meditation. I call it a “flow” state where you’re focus all your attention of what you’re doing and time flies by.

It’s a great state to be in to maximize creativity!
